VK4OTZ - Otto Pattemore (18)

Otto Pattemore, VK4OTZ, is 18 years old and was first licensed in 2022 when he was 14.

He first found his interest in radio through model rocketry and telemetry systems. After discovering ham radio, it quickly became Otto's main hobby. He has participated in many contests both as a single operator and in a team with other young Australian hams.

Otto's two main interests within the hobby are contesting/DXing and designing radios and antennas. Outside of amateur radio, he is also studying a degree in electronic engineering, hoping to specialise in RF and communications systems.

VK9XY will be Otto's first DXpedition, which he hopes will be the first of many.
